BestSync ® 2008 is a professional utility for synchronizing files between your local folders and Network Drives, FTP servers, Removable Media (such as an USB disk). 

BestSync 2008 has an easy to use user interface and  many advanced features. BestSync 2008 is capable of :

1. Synchronize or Backup files automatically (using a flexible schedule) to external hard disks, network disks, shared folders, and other file systems. Only changed files are backed up, and old versions are managed in backup folders .  BestSync 2008 manages old versions of backup files and can restore them easily.

2. Synchronize files with a FTP server using the encryption and compress feature. BestSync can resume a file transfer from the last breakpoint to ensure that large files be transferred successfully. BestSync 2008 also support an FTP proxy server. Enterprise users can synchronize files behind the firewall.

3. Keep files updated between home and office by using an USB disk with the encryption feature.  What you only need to do, is to insert the USB disk into the home PC, and all the updated files will be compressed and encrypted to the USB disk. Later at the company PC, when you insert the USB disk, all the updated files will be decrypted and decompressed to the PC!

4. Keep files the same between branch companies or subsidiary companies by using the FTP protocol. Because only changed files are transferred, the chance of network overload is light.   

5. Publish only changed files to your web site by using the FTP protocol with FrontPage support. Only updated files are transferred to, and deleted files are removed from,  your web site. This substantially reduces synchronization time, and there are no annoying dialog boxes to disturb your work.

FileFilter is a windows shell extension embedded in the windows shell.
