Task Wizard: Schedule

Designate a timing to start the synchronous task.. Note the check box in the task list should be checked; otherwise the task is excluded from the schedule mechanism.

1. "Start this task when this application starts"

If this option is checked, the delay time can also be specified in seconds. If the delay time is not zero, the task will not be started until the delay time elapses after the application starts.
Please note that other schedule mode in this task will also not be ran until the delay time elapses.

2. "Start this task when the media is inserted, or the network drive is mounted."

When a media is mounted as a drive, the synchronous task is started. In this case, the auto play function of the shell for this drive is canceled automatically.
If this option is displayed in red, the drive is not recognized as a removable device. Some usb hard disk will be so, but the insert event is still effective.
To use this mode, the main application must be running.

3. "Service Sync: Start this task as service (Need not user login.)

This task will be ran by the designated schedule even no user logs in. This option is suitable for server applications.

If the task is set to synchronize with a network drive, please specify the login account of the remote PC in the "General " wizard page. In the  "General " wizard page, press logon button to setup the account to logon to network drive automatically. See "Logon to network drive".

4. Real-Time Sync: Synchronize files immediately after they are changed.

If this option is checked, BestSync will monitor the change of the source folder for one-way sync, and monitor the two folders for two-way sync . When a file is changed, deleted, moved or renamed, the file is copied to, deleted from, moved or renamed in the target folder immediately. You don't need to specify a schedule; the task will be started when BestSync starts.
This option can be used with the "Service Sync: Start this task as service (Need not user login.)" option.
If you use this option to monitor file change of a removable media, the task will be started when the media is inserted in, and BestSync will continue to monitor changed until the media is removed.
If you use this option to monitor file change of a network storage (NAS), and the storage don't supports change notification, BestSync will automatically synchronize the two folder in about 3 minutes.
You can use the preview window to view the change notification, and the log view to view the result. BestSync switches the log record every time it synchronize the full folders.

Note:
  *This option is grayed out in the following cases, because Outlook/Windows Mail/FTP/FTPS/SFTP/ZIP Archive do not support real-time sync:

Outlook, WindowsMail ==>Folder2
Folder1<===FTP/FTPS/SFTP/ZIP Archive

*If the real-time option is selected, and the monitoring folder is Outlook/Windows Mail/FTP/FTPS/SFTP/ZIP Archive, the change in these folders will be synchronized in about 3 minutes.
