High bandwidth when doing FTP backup to external FTP server

Hi

I am evaluating Bestsync English Version Ver9.0.6.2(64Bit) for use with multiple clients at the moment for off site backup via FTP.

During testing I have noticed that Bestsync creates file upload / download pairs. This effectively doubles the bandwidth and time it takes to do a backup. It would seem more effective to calculate a CRC or hash for the file to be transmitted and check the CRC value at the other end, if that is possible rather that downloading the whole file for checking. Is this possible?

Many thanks

Mike v

If the FTP server supports XCRC or XMD5 command, then BestSync will use one of these commands to verify the file. If the FTP sever does not support any of the commands, and you have checked the "Verification" option in the "Copy Options", then BestSync will download and compare the file for verification.
