Notification on Shutdown

Is there any way to get a notification on a failed task or shutdown?

You can get the notification email when the task is started but failed with some error.
But the task can not notify you if the Windows or application is shutdown.
Maybe you can use the Windows Task Scheduler to send you a notification email when the PC is shutdown.
