i tried a test today, syncing a set of folders with about 50,000 files / 50gb total on a reasonably fast w2k8 server with mirrored drives.

the sync seemed to be slowing the server down, so i tried stopping it, but could not. even with task manager, after lowering the priority, i still could not get it to stop - so had to terminate it.

any suggestions?

Please check if you are using the latest version(6.3.36 later). BESTSYNC has fixed a similar problem from version 6.2.

i believe it is - when i downloaded it from your site yesterday that is the version shown on the site.

the problem seems to be if i have the preview window open.

btw, how do i check the version? i could not find it using the usual methods.

Please try to uncheck the "Process multiple files simultaneously" option in the "Copy options" to see if the problem can be avoided.
