You can set the "Maximum preserving days of the log data in the "Log" tab of the task.

i check the log tab of the task, it is set to 60 which means 60 days and this is the default as we do not edit this tab.
preserve log refers to serivce.log or task log (view log)?

isnt service.log the global log where all tasks writes to it.

all of our tasks have 60 as its value for the preserve log. 90% of the tasks are set to real sync

I'm sorry that I have given you the wrong information.
Service.log is limited by maximum size of 1 MB, all the old log contents will be purged automatically when the size is over 1 MB.
There is not a setting to adjust the file size.

Sorry, there is no work around.
Service.log is designed only for logging starting or ending of tasks, for the detailed log of each task, please access the log of tasks.
