Not all files transfer

Have an sftp connection of which not all the files are transferring to the destination. Only about 11 of the 16 files transfer, sometimes we get an error message that the user id or password was not correct. which does not make sense because the other files have transferred. I have a document with screen prints but can't attach, file is too large error.
