Re: Ignore 1 hour difference - how
It might be a tremendous benefit if BestSync could accommodate a 1 hour discrepancy due to Summer / Winter clock changes. Ten years ago the I.T. department governed the company network and servers as a communal resource. Our department had Windows XP. I do not know what version of Windows / Unix / e...

Re: Questions regarding business version
Would a simpler concept be better ? When each Tech goes on-line his hand held folder is synchronised not to the central master folder, but to a central folder that is dedicated to his hand held. I believe this is full proven technology though I have not used it this way myself. Then all that remains...

Elusive Version Identity
I cannot get the version from the Help Menu or the File Menu. Not on any menu. That is disappointing. I cannot find any way other than closing to the Notification Tray and then using Right Click for the context menu to choose the Version Information option, and then nothing seems to happen until I c...

Re: export preview-log as csv-file
Perhaps you would find the Free SysExporter utility from Nirsoft useful. You MUST download the x64 version for Windows x64, the standard x32 version is only useful on Windows x32 BestSync Previewed P:\ and Q:\ which are two image files of C:\ SysExporter saw everything that was running including man...

Re: Conflict detection
In case of confusion, please note that I am a new user and enthusiastic about what BestSync does for me, but have experience of only some of the facilities. I suggest that you assume either PC may suffer a dead HDD, and that you place duplicate backups of your special folder on both PC. That may be ...

BestSync is far better than I believed possible because :-
I have no connection with Risefly other than my recent discovery of BestSync as the best possible synchronising tool. I am astounded that it takes less than 20 seconds for Preview to analyse the differences between my 25 GB partition C:\ which holds 16 GB of information in 80,000+ files, and similar...

Re: Conflict detection
What you believe is what might serve your special needs, but I think most users would never have those needs I believe BestSync does a perfect bi-directional sync between a User alterable system and an archive system that can accept updates and also revert to the previous. I think your requirement p...

Re: Conflict detection
This is a reliable system I have often encountered :- If more than 1 person needs to modify a file, then a master of the file can be held on a server, with read access to all interested parties, but no-one can write unless they "check-out" the file which sets a flag so that no one else can...

Re: Why is there a 15 MB File "Partitions.fsn"
Thanks
O.K. Best to keep the file.
Even with this 15 MB "overhead" it still takes much less disc space than some of the other synchronisers.
Regards
Alan
